I have a 2010 Mac Pro 5.1 I am attempting to update to Sonoma. I have went through the install procedure from the beginning several times and keep running into the same issue.
I boot from the EFI partition of the USB no problem, then select the SSD internal drive I have erased and partitioned in advance. The first restarted goes seamlessly and the installer progress bar never hangs through to the next restart. The third time through, it will run verbose, bring up the Apple logo and the progress bar, the restart fairly quickly.
Somewhere around the 4th or 5th time doing this, the system will restart, go to the apple logo, then the screen will go black with no signal and it just stays that way. I am unable to enter into Sonoma setup.
I am sorry if this is vague, but does anyone have an idea what may be the issue? Thanks!
