Hey everyone, I'm using open core on my 7 years old MacBook and I was wonderin: if I update it through the system settings, would It be safe?
Another question is: my MacBook recently started to shutdown casually and would only turn on by plugging the charger in like it needs a kickstart, if I don't connect a charger the low battery icon appears even if the battery is fully charged (maybe it's the battery? it has 1500 cycles so maybe it's time to change it...) could it be open core faults? I applied all patch, enabled efi-vault (the option that signs the efi) and all the other things or could it be the touchbar? I saw some posts that the touchbar on these models is known for giving lots of issues in fact mine flashes sometime.
ps: sorry if I asked questions about issued that could be hardware related.
