Problems with Sequoia 15.3.1 Mail on Late 20113 Mac Pro (MacPro6,1)

I am running on a Late 2013 Mac Pro host. Having operated with macOS Sonoma with OpenCore-Patcher making things work for some 3 weeks now, I began to have problems with Mail app in that it would not respond the clicks from my Magic Mouse 2. Like I could not select email messages or open mailboxes with the mouse. Quit the app and restarted several times but the problem recurred. I was already getting notices to Upgrade from Sonoma to Sequoia so after some foot-dragging I did the upgrade. Things seemed to work very well [except my long term existing problem since first unsupported macOS install and OpenCore Patch where I cannot live stream xfinity on Safari but it does work under Firefox]. Then today the same problem has recurred with the Sequoia Mail app: things seem to fade slightly on the desktop and I am unable to select, activate, touch elements of the menus and mailboxes and messages can't select a mailbox or open a mailbox or open a message. and the Trash and Junk mailboxes show counts for unread messages yet the mailboxes do not show contents. Have restarted Mail, works briefly, and then the problem recurs. Anyone with such experience. Any workarounds? I trying hard to keep this old black cylinder with the Quad Core Xeon and full up memory. Don't really want to buy another Mac right now. Any help? Thanks, tom
