Friend updated from Monterey to Sequoia via Software Update

Hi, a friend of mine updated from Monterey to Sequoia and I cannot seem to recover from it.

Burned a fresh USB stick with the latest Sequoia release but it always gets stuck at the same spot.

Booted in verbose mode and see now this error. Anybody got any idea? (i’m going to boot from the USB and try Terminal to remove OpenCore and try installing again next.)
