Noob here. Why isn't OCLP a simple script or software that changes the model/year of a Mac, thus allowing upgrades normally through the App Store or Software update?

Was just a bit confused regarding this. Wouldn't it be easier? Or does macOS blocks any software to tamper with details such as serial no. or model years?
