Ventura bootcamp deletion caused error?

Wondering if anyone had any ideas on this:

I deleted my windows Bootcamp partion using the Apple bootcamp tool. Now the MacBook hangs after I input my MacOS login password.

I ran the disk check tool from recovery but this didn't fix the problem.

I thought to make a new OCLP bootable USB and reinstall Ventura but it complains it cannot downgrade (I guess the installed version has some incremental update compared to the downloaded one).

Anyone have any clue on this one?
