Another Tahoe'd dope self flagellates for your amusement.

Yes, I know, I'm a fool. I have learned my lesson - trust.

I've read through everyone else's Tahoe experiences in the hopes of being able to solve it without showing my face...but unfortunately I still need a little help.

How do I reinstall an OS from my ext HD when the WiFi is kaput?

I DID NOT back up anything before carelessly clicking the Tahoe button. I want to save some data if I can.

I have partitioned my HD in the hopes of reinstalling sequoia on the partition and somehow rescuing files before wiping the HD completely.

There's only 11GB on the partition and I have plugged the USB in. Its showing up in Disk Utility. I'm in Recovery mode but when I click "reinstall Sequoia" its says "not without an internet connection buddy"

I am not a techy person (shock!) So if anyone can explain what to do in a simple way that would be amazing.

I've been quoted $200+ for data recovery from a shop.

Other info: Its my only computer. I may be able to borrow a housemates computer to download things but they all have PC I think. I might be able to plug in to the Ethernet cable after work.
