How to Configure RAM in OpenCore config.plist
Sometimes macOS does not map all RAM slots correctly, or displays memory errors (especially on laptops or AMD builds). You can manually map RAM in your bootloader config.
How to configure RAM:
- Enable Custom Memory: Open your
config.plistusing a proper plist editor. Navigate toPlatformInfo→Memory. SetCustomMemorytotrue. - Configure Devices: Fill in the
Devicesarray with your RAM module details: size, speed, manufacturer, serial number, and slot position. - Enable XMP: Ensure XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) is enabled in your BIOS/UEFI settings for maximum memory performance.
- Verify: Boot macOS and check
About This Mac→Memoryto confirm all modules are properly recognized and clocked.
