Hi all, I had taken the installer .app from my family's imac but for the life of me couldn't get it to load up to the installer. So I decided use Niresh Sierra Zone to redownload it from the app store, all went OK, loaded the installer, hit install, "macOS could not be installed on your PC."
Argh! About 20 hours later of reading through tuts and troubleshooting, my current thoughts are that it's because of my laptop - the error seems to be related to multiHDD or multi sticks of ram, however I'm not willing to void my laptops warranty to detach the extra HDD and extra stick of ram to verify.
Therefore, I'm installing on my PC on to an external HDD, and going to clone that to my laptops HDD, and fix clover so it can boot.
However, in case this doesn't work, does anyone know if Niresh is safe? Right away from installing it I noticed a LOT of bloat/naggware, which I uninstalled. It would actually open safari every few minutes to a donate page. After I removed all that, it didn't seem half bad. I guess my questions are:
1) Do we know if he places custom code in the kernel or OS? Either fixes that are unecessary, or viruses. 2) Is he reputable? Do we have any reason to believe he might put a keylogger or anything similar in his distro?
Thanks.
