Sleep not working on GA-Z87MX-D3H (10.13)?

  • intel core i3 4360 cpu
  • gigabyte ga-z87mx-d3h motherboard
  • gtx 950 gpu
  • kingston v300 now 120gb ssd
  • 550w thermaltake psu

So sleep "works" on my Hacktintosh, but the fans and the actual PC continue to run after its supposedly "asleep". I heard that perfect functioning USB could help remedy this, but how would I go about the USBInjectAll.kext fix? Is there any other culprits I could check before I try that method? I think just about everything else works on my system except sleep. I'm on 10.13.3 High Sierra.
