I'm thinking of water cooling my new hackintosh build, mainly due to RAM clearance issues (70%) and minimizing clutter (30%). There isn't much in the way of information available though on how to control the pump speed. The threads that do mention it say they keep pump at 100% while controlling fans via PWM on the mobo, leaving the USB disconnected. This is of course less than ideal. I hear that corsair h100i (not sure about v2) can save settings directly to the pump via Windows so you won't ever have to log in to Windows again once it's set. How true is this and is it also true of all recent generations from Corsair? Will it control both pump and fans? Fractal s36 apparently has an auto feature to control pump and fans in real-time. Again, can this work without me ever having to setup windows initially?
