My First Modern Hackintosh

Looking into making my first Hackintosh, I found a lot of Lenovos have excellent support/compatibility. Now, it's been a second or two since I've made a Hackintosh. I have an old '09 dual core duo Macbook Pro that's starting to feel its age, despite all of the upgrades. While it has served me well over the last decade it's time to go up.

Looking at the Macs now I have a lot of problems with it. I can't upgrade... anything, and the shit's expensive as Hell. Since there have been Apples, I've used Apples. If I didn't use Apple, used Linux. The problem with Linux is that it lacks the software support and sometimes even hardware support. I'm certainly not going to use Windows, nothing personal, just not a fan.

So I guess my question is - looking at the Lenovo 730, I understand it should work pretty seamlessly, but the thing that is needed is the wireless card? I understand that in nearly every case, even the most ideal, you need to get a certain wireless card? Which do I get?

Anything I should know or be cautious of? For example, how does one upgrade the system without crashing the system?

I also considered even getting a gaming laptop, and while I'm not a gamer - but any measure, it's very powerful and is upgradeable. Anyway, thoughts?
