Posting this from Windows 10, as macOS 10.14.5 has become a freezing mess (everything stopped except mouse cursor). It is always while playing video, either through MPV, or in YouTube (set to HD). I recently updated to 10..14.5 and switched to iMacPro1,1 (with disabled Intel Integrated graphics) to get GPU accelerated encoding/decoding... It now appears to be freezing my computer on a daily basis at least... sometimes more often (3 times last night).
I monitored the CPU and GPU temps and they are both very low, and not an issue...
There is also nothing listed in the system logs... Do you think that reverting to iMac18,3 and disabling hardware acceleration might help???
PS. I always have Chrome open, so it could be entirely related to Chrome... and nothing to do with video at all?!
