I have a T440s - i5-4300U, haven't changed wifi card yet, 4gm ram, Samsung 256gb ssd (where macOS is the only thing installed)
Steps I followed to install Mojave:
Things I've tried:
-
www.youtube.com/FOG__lBvcyI (All 3 of these, 2nd one resulted in no boot up since he didn't mention that I had to install OsxAptioFix (I have tried OsxAptioFix - Free2000 too with EmuVariableUefi) So I had to reinstall)
-
Tried changing "FixShutdown" to "FixShutdown_0004" in the config file
-
Reinstalled OS
-
Anything with "Darkwake=..." in the boot options, Clover Configurator
-
I tried the Nvram test when I had OsxAptioFix instead of AptioMemoryFix installed and after boot Nvram didn't have the variable. Haven't tried the Nvram with AptioMemoryFix yet but doubt that would change anything as the shutdown problem still persisted when AptioMemoryFix was enabled.
-
There may be a few more things that I have tried just don't remember. Sorry if I've forgot anything
Here is the file dump, IOReg wasn't able to be dumped, so it said generic IOReg was dumped instead. Don't know if that changes anything. I just found out about Hackintosh about a week ago so almost everything here is new to me.
Thanks for the help.
===========Questions about wifi card and trackpad===============
So most of the popular wifi cards are well over $100 Cad which I'm not willing to spend. I dug into the wiki and found a list of compatible models. Now later on in the same guide they have a list of m.2 wifi cards (t440s supports A+E m.2 wifi card I believe).
Now this one isn't listed anywhere explicitly that it would work for Hackintosh but it seems like it would. Just want to make sure I haven't missed anything important before giving this one a go.
=====================.
Now for the trackpad, after installing Mojave the trackpad works but is GOD AWFUL. The tracking speed keeps on changing and the mouse jumps from one side to another when you don't want to move that far. Even on the highest speeds it required multiple swipes to move from one side of the screen to another.
In the installation guide, I believe he included the kexts needed but does anyone know if there are any better ones? I would prefer not to carry around a usb mouse.
Thanks
