Catalina reboots when connecting to wifi (Opencore)

I am using Catalina 10.15.3 with the following and everything works but my wifi USB adapter (which was working under clover before I switched to opencore).

Motherboard: Gigabyte z390 UD
USB: mapped using usbmap
CPU: i5 9500KF
Bootargs = -v keepsyms=1 alcid=1 slide=0 darkwake=0 shikigva=196
Bootloader config is pretty standard with all the required patch

So to explain the problem:

1- I installed the drivers from Dlink for 10.14 which used to work when I was using clover for my USB Adapter (DWA-182c, driver is for 182d but they were working anyway must be the same chipset)

2- All goes well, it installs, shows as connected, detects wifi networks around...

3- I click on the network I want to connect... my hack either totally freeze or reboots.

Never had that problem before in 10 years doing hackintoshes :P I am very puzzled lol

Chipset is Realtek RTL8812AU

Note: I also tried the wifi installer for catalina from github (dont remember the name) that says was supporting it.

So I guess it might be something in my settings, maybe usb related? IRQ? (I patched with HPET, same problem)...
