so, i am taking my brother’s old hp laptop with a core i5 7200u and ‘hackintosh-ing’ it to use mainly garageband and final cut. of course, i’m worried about a dual core being smooth and good...
so i’ve decided to try it out for a month or two and decide whether i’m OK with it. in case i’m not, i’ve shortlisted a laptop (core i5-8250u [quad core]) for really cheap that i will switch to.
the disk i will be using is a 2.5” 1tb ssd (samsung or crucial).
if i switch, will i be good to go if i just put that ssd into the new system? or will i have to reinstall the os?
(the new laptop also has a 2.5” bay)
