Feels like you guys may be tired of seeing me ask for help here but I’ll try my best for this to be the last haha.
Specs: i9 7900x 32gb Ram RX580 6700xt (For windows. Disabled with SSDT when booting to MacOS) Gigabyte X299 Designare EX motherboard
With the help of this subreddit I’ve been able to boot up successfully into MacOS and it works amazing..way better than I could have imagined. I’m exporting 4K videos like butter with FCPX.
The final problem I’m facing now. CSM obviously needs to be disabled for me to be able to boot into MacOS. But once it is, if my 6700xt is connected, the entire bios freezes and I see nothing but the splash screen with keyboard options.
Pressing keys on the keyboards gives no response. If I unplug the 6700xt everything is perfect. If CSM is enabled everything is perfect with both cards except for the fact that I can’t boot into MacOS.
So at this point my way of switching Operating systems is opening the case and physically plugging/unplugging the 6700xt.
Once that 6700xt is connected with CSM disabled, the entire system is non-functional. Cant even get into the bios. I’d have to unplug it to get into the bios to change anything.
Things I’ve tried: Switching the positions of the GPUs on the mobo. Switching the initial display output to the RX580
