Safari or Firefox on iMac 11,2 not responding after maximise

As per title, I feel it has something to do with the translucent menu bar. I disabled it in opencore, maybe that will fix it. Same goes for Firefox, just feels like they go unresponsive after a while or maybe after maximising.
