| | I've followed Dortania's guide, made an EFI, and tried installing Sonoma(14.3) on my laptop. The installation process went smoothly until it was done and the system rebooted, I got the support.apple.com/mac/startup screen with a prohibitory symbol. I searched around online and tried many config.plist edits but it still won't boot. But somehow when I replaced the EFI on boot USB with the backup of the EFI folder that I used on the last successful boot into the installation, the system booted successfully into macOS. I then went through the setup process and finally got to the desktop for the first time, after that I restarted the system to see if it would boot again and it didn't. Now I'm stuck with the prohibitory symbol screen.
