Catalina to Ventura Update Hiccups

So I've been running MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 up until last weekend.

Catalina was pretty stable but I was losing support when it came to the software I was using so I decided it was time to update to a more recent macOS. I settled on Ventura after doing some research and seeing that it was going to be painless and it was. (for the most part!)

However, I ran into a few issues and solved some of them.

My main problem currently is if my mac goes to sleep (or 10-minute display sleep in my case) When I go to play a video, in this case on YouTube. The video will buffer for a bit, play for a few seconds the whole system will freeze up for a little bit except for the mouse cursor and audio, then it will play as normal again and the cycle will continue until I pause the video.

I'm not entirely sure what's causing this as it never happened while I was running Catalina.

I did however try to pinpoint the issue as best as I could and digging through the console logs for errors I've found the following but not entirely sure how to proceed or if this points out anything obvious (is this GPU related?)

Corpse released, count at 0 (IOAcceleratorFamily2) virtual IOReturn IOAccelEventMachine2::waitForStamp(int32_t, stamp_t, stamp_t *): a graphics error occurred, fRestartType = <2>, exiting.. Note: a lot of these SSDT's were added to try and help with sleep alongside WoL but getting sleep working smoothly alongside WoL has proven to be a challenge and I haven't been able to dive further into it yet.

I'm happy to provide additional notes/information but didn't want to make this post any lengthier than it already is 😅
