All in Razer Blade Pro Hackintosh - Update 01/12/2019

Fantastic progress! Once I have the battery and trackpad detected and working well enough to call it done will post my text tutorial and likely set up links to the config.plist, DDST and SSDT files to make your set up like easier.

This has gone much quicker than I thought. Small steps and many backups of EFI folder later I am about 90% there; aside from power management and trackpad. Screen brightness control also would be nice, but not necessary. Also, CAPS Lock light to activate would be cool.

One piece of advice if you are playing with the EFI folder and your system craps out. Keep your bootable USB handy and keep a zip of your last "good" EFI folder accessible on the desktop. Expand the zip file ONLY on the desktop and not in the EFI partition; even if you delete the folder first and empty the trash. After expanding the folder on the desktop, then COPY it to the EFI partition and reboot. COPYing instead of just expanding the zip file in the EFI partition allows for permissions to be set properly. Expanding the zip folder on the EFI partition does not for some reason. Took me a few hours to figure that one out when I was playing with DSDT file creation.

Oh yes...backup like crazy and keep a log of your changes. Helps to backtrack and saves having to start over, especially since it is this 30 MB file set that we generally are only working to modify. Also backup your Hackintosh with CCC or SuperDuper!. Time Machine is old hat and really should just be used on Apple hardware.

The "best" thing I got working this week, aside from BT, was the old SuperDrive. Never know when you need a file from a DVD or CDROM. Also the card reader works!

Still trying to get audio louder but it at least works.

At this rate I guess will have the tutorial done in the next 2 months. I won't be able to troubleshoot other Razer machines as I only have the RBP here, but I did find multiple websites aside from Reddit that talk about the "stealth, blade, etc" offering from Razer. My impression from others on these other Razer products is similar to what traditional Apple users say about the MacBook and MBA; that was very interesting to experience.
