HackBook users whose laptops are 3 years or older, how does your battery fare?

I have been using macOS on my hackintosh for almost six months now. It's a three year old Sony Vaio laptop. So far, the experience has been amazing. But I'm now beginning to feel that I'm not getting enough battery life out of my battery. My suspicion is that macOS isn't properly calibrated to read my battery levels. A full charge gives me about 4-5 hours of Music and moderate internet browsing. I don't do any computation intensive programs, only programming, Preview app, checking the mail once a day. iTunes is constantly on in the 9-11 hours during which my system is up. Just wanted to know how my fellow hackintoshers are faring and if their is something not right with my system.
