Which version of OS X to use? (GPU issues)

Hey folks!
I am new to Hackentosh, so I am somwhat confused. I put Mojave on my X58 Motherboard (Asus Rampage III Formula with a GTX760 GPU) Using Clover/Unibeast/Multibeast.

I managed to get the Ethernet working. Still completely confused on how to get a USB wifi adapter to work. I have one that is Linux compatible, will it work in OSX?

I did as mentioned above, got Mojave installed. Seems to work fine. There is no sound and I think I saw a thread on how to get that to work with my internal sound card (SupremeFX X-Fi2 Onboard).

The biggest issue is with the GTX 760, there's no acceleration. So I can't use IMovie.

Should I install an older version of OSX, like high Sierra?
I also have other GPUs I can use.

GTX 970.

Does the R9 Fury X work with Mojave without any adjustments? Can I just pop it in and inject AMD and it will work?

I've seen posts about modifying some text file to change the frame buffer. I have no idea how or where to do that or if it will work. Hard to find info on this that is recent.
