Touchpad gestures only work on touchscreen, not on touchpad.

On my Vaio SVF15A15CDB running Big Sur, touchpad gestures only work on the touchscreen, I don't have them on the touchpad. How can I fix this?

Note - I cannot adjust the touchpad settings, as the laptop does not have a battery (macOS doesn't show the touchpad in settings if you don't have a battery)

Basic specs:

• CPU: i5-3337u
• GPU 1: Intel HD Graphics 4000
• GPU 2: NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M (disabled with SSDT -- GPU is connected via Optimus)
• Touchpad: Synaptics I2C
• Touchscreen: I2C of some sorts
• Audio: Realtek ALC233
• Wi-Fi: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205
• Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168/8111
