Unable to change resolution

i5 4690k MSI Z97 Krait Motherboard Msi GTX 1070

New to the mackintosh scene and OS X in general. I installed Sierra, installed the Nvidia web drivers. Nvidia web driver is set to default, however I'm stuck at 1280x1024 for my resolution. I've been searching for a solution all morning but have not been successful. I'm using a dell 2560x1440 display connected through display port. Any ideas?
