Should pro users build a Hackintosh?

Hi, I'm a pro user, and I mostly do work for music production. I do a bit of photo + video editing. I use Ableton Live 9, and my main machine is a Macbook Pro, mid-2014. It's pretty nice, but it's already starting to act weird. I am pretty much locked to the OS X ecosystem, as I use a Mac and iPhone but I don't want to eventually upgrade to a newer Macbook, at least for now, because of USB-C not maturing enough to be a main port for audio engineers and music producers. I'd like to have the ability to plug USB-C peripherals in the future, but the initial migration would require too many adapters which I unfortunately have no room for.

I have been looking building a desktop recently, and I wanted to see if people here would recommend building a Hackintosh for pro users. I want to see if a new build with new, compatible parts can run close to the stability of a native Mac. (of course, after getting drivers and kexts to work.)

I also end up plugging in MIDI controllers, an audio interface, and sometimes a DSLR via USB. I wanted to see your guys' experience with plug and play functionality, or if its wonky even after your Hackintosh is fully set up.

I understand that this may be a vague question because there's so many parts to set up, and many drivers to configure. I have some experience with building PC's, but not much with Hackintosh. Thanks
