Is it possible to run High Sierra on following configuration

I have an very old Dell XPS L501x macbook is too costly but I want MacOS since am interested in developing apps and own iPhone.

This is the config

Dell XPS L501x - A08 Bios Core i7 740-QM NVIDIA GT435M (2GB gimmick) 6GB RAM @ 1333Mhz Seagate 500GB @ 7200rpm

Since the High Sierra is APFS is it possible to install it in an HDD?

If not suggest me the best version for this configuration. And if kind enough post an DIY link.

I have my dad laptop which I could use

Dell Inspiron N5110 2nd Gen Core i5 2410M 4GB Ram NVIDIA GT625M 500GB HDD (5400rpm I think)
