Slow throughput performance on Intel Pro/1000 ET Quadport NIC (82576 Chipset)

So I have a hackpro running 10.11.6, I've been using an intel Pro/1000 ET quad port card using AppleIGB.kext for a while, but I have noticed that the throuput of the card is about half of what I am getting from the onboard nic. With the ET I am only able tp push about 52MB/s max over a gig line. With the onboard Nic and it's driver, I am pushing ~114MBPS. from all the research I have done, I seems to be the kext. I have tried all the versions of it from sourceforge/osx86 drivers, etc, and have found nothing that works. Any ideas? Is there another kext out there that would support the 82576 chipset?
