I found a cheap Optiplex 780 and am thinking if I should buy it for a hackintosh. I have next to no experience. On tonymacx86 I was informed that it is quite hard for a beginner but I thing I'll take up the challenge. What I want to ask is, would I be able to hackintosh it if I swapped the cpu out for a modded xeon ( 3.0ghz 4 cores E5450) ? What gpu should I get? Would I need to change the psu? For what ? Whats the newest os I could run? Also, best guide to do it? It currently has 4gb of RAM but I'll get 2x2gb more. Is this the right approach? Its a mid tower btw. Please help.
