I'm trying to install High Sierra on my X79 setup. Specs: Mobo: Gigabyte X79-UD3 Processor: Intel i7 4930k Graphics: GTX 770
Booting the installer hangs on: IOConsoleUser: time(0) 0->0, lin 0, llk 1, IOConsoleUser: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0
I tried every trick in the book since this issue seems to be widespread. My setup has always been running smoothly on El Capitan with no problems whatsoever.
Attached my EFI folder with the following link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1rukRPQTDUcqrnRHz9lvvku9i1mJHgXW5
I'd appreciate any help!
ps. There's this weird issue that when using the same USB port for the installer, it's a russian roulette wether it hangs on "Still waiting for root device", about 50% of the time it gets past this into the issue described above, and the other 50% of the time I have to reboot. This is very weird since I don't change anything in the meantime, I just reboot. Any info on this? This of course is not my main concern, I'd rather first fix the above described issue.
