I'm new to all of this so I apologize for my ignorance ahead of time. I am running ios x 10.11 through VMware on my windows laptop. It took me forever to get iMessage activated on it and it has been working perfectly so I am scared of messing it up by messing with my guest IOS, but I would really like to upgrade from El Capitan. Is there any reason doing a direct update from the app store in the VM would mess with the iMessage capabilities? I've searched around on different forums and I haven't seen this exact question but I'm sorry if this has already been answered. Thank you!!!
