I just ordered a high-end build through NZXT's BLD service and quickly realized I could add another SSD and HDD, and have a beautiful dual boot, dual purpose machine. So, I started digging and found out most of the components will work without issue.
The only two concerns I still have are finding the right Bluetooth/Wifi solution that works out of the box (and doesn't involve removing the backplate and rebuilding the motherboard's included WiFi card), and ensuring the case's front-panel audio jacks work (not required, but a nice convenience).
Was also wondering if a seasoned 'tosher could take a look at the specs and see if anything else pops out as being problematic:
- CASE - NZXT H700i (White)
- CPU COOLING - NZXT Kraken X62
- MOTHERBOARD - ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC)
- GPU(GRAPHICS) - EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Gaming Black Edition
- CPU - Intel Core i7-8700K 6-Core 3.7 GHz
- POWER SUPPLIES - Seasonic Focus Plus 850W Gold
- EXTRA - Cablemod 6+2 PIN Basic Cable Extension Kit (White)
- RAM - 32GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200 MHz
- STORAGE - Samsung 960 EVO 250GB
- STORAGE - SAMSUNG 860 EVO 1TB
- STORAGE - Seagate Barracuda 2TB
- EXTRA - NZXT USB Expansion
- EXTRA - NZXT Puck (Black)
- SOFTWARE - Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
I passed on the HUE+, Grid and any of the additional RGB lighting, as I wasn't really interested in it being a "flashy" build, but should I decide to add those later would also be interested if these cause any issues as well.
Thanks for the help!
