Hi all, hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Been having some issues with the recent security update 2018-001 for the past few days and I'm getting nowhere. Seen a few comments about blank screens, but I think that relates to HDMI.
The update applied fine without any issues and I installed the latest Web Drivers as usual. Instead of running the webdriver.sh shell script, without thinking I just downloaded the latest via the system prefs panel. However I ran the shell script after the sys prefs installation and it seemed to agree with the version I installed, so I think that's probably not been the cause of my issues.
I was having problems with the resolution, so I was messing around with the display settings and I think I unchecked the overscan checkbox and after the screen updated, the checkbox has now disappeared and I've been left with black borders on my 2x 4K displays. Thought maybe there might be a .plist file I could edit to re-enable, but haven't been able to find this.
The available resolutions seem to max out at 2560x1600. After running SwitchResX it let me change the resolution to 4k, but I'm still stuck with the black borders. Initially thought it might have been the display needing a reset, but this hasn't made a difference.
In terms of my config.plist I have nvda_driv=1 and nv_disable=1 unchecked.
I'm convinced it's something to do with my config.plist or kext files.
