I built a PC picking parts with the possibility of Hackintosh with mind, but after the build came together I realised as much as I hate the Windows user experience, I value stability and optimisation above any UI quirks that I would have to get used to. I work with video/motion graphics and I figure that anything that has to be bent around so much custom code must suffer a bit of instability and unoptimised performance, and that it would be better to just bite the bullet and get used to using Windows. However after using Window for a few months now, I've come to realise that it itself is inherently janky and unstable. I can't imagine a Hackintosh being that much worse. My question to the Hackitoshers out there, specifically those that use theirs for creative productivity ie video editing/animation/photoshop etc - how stable are your builds? And what's the performance like compared to the same software running on windows?
