I have this notebook and I'd really love if I could put a mac partition on it;

I know so little about attempting this, I have been a PC tech all my life but never worked much with macs except as a user for a time a few years ago. Can anyone help me understand how I can investigate compatibility?
I feel like asking if it's dangerous to even try, in any way?
