NOOB ASKING FOR ADVICE

First things first, of course I’ve done the research, I know how google works.

Ok. I’ve been lurking here, watching videos, and reading forums for a long time. I just want some real personal input. I want to build/setup a hackintosh for school. I’m a CS major and I do really light gaming like Minecraft and league.

So what should I expect my budget to be? What specs should I consider? Any none obvious guides like a post or something? I do prefer a laptop so are there any suggestions on which to buy?
