Mojave 10.14.1. Build is in a proxmox 5.2 vm (qemu/kvm) following this guide.
Passing through a Gigabyte 7970.
Card is detected as 7xxx 3gb as expected and DRM plays fine. With Lilu/WEG, it's shown as 7970 3gb with DRM still working. Both show metal supported.
However, VDADecoderChecker and VideoProc both show hw acceleration as unavailable. Playing videos tend to peg a core, so I'm inclined to believe there is indeed no decode acceleration.
config.plist should be uninteresting as far as gpu is concerned.
I've tried forceATI / hardwareVideoDecoder with no effect.
