So today I messed up pretty bad; I was running OS X 10.8.5 for over 4 years, then I decided to update to the latest security and supplemental update available via AppStore. Eventually the update fails and I cannot boot into OS X (Although the partition is visible via clover); so I tried to reinstall OS X (while keeping my files in tact), but the reinstallation fails and the OS X partition doesn't show up at all, Even on a real mac or with the "show hidden partitions" option in Clover boot loader, even though I can still access its contents!
When I tried to reinstall OS X: The installer log shows "localhost OSinstaller(320): cannot make disk bootable at all"
How can I attempt to make my OS X partition bootable again? I have a working MacOS installation that I can use to debug this if necessary (by connecting my laptop's hard drive)
