I got a PC up and running pretty easily using only 1 kext. Trying to get my laptop working, and yes I know it's a bit more work, but everything I read talks about different things like SSDT, DSDT, config.plist and kexts... what are all these for and when do you know which one to modify?
So far, I just can't boot at all, it just stalls, with no errors in verbose mode. Since my laptop has Intel+Nvidia Optmus graphics, I do know that I need to disable my Nvidia GPU completely, but I see a hundred different methods, and none of the "guides" explain the basics, they only supply info like "enter this into your plist" or something, with no instruction on how to do it, or what they're even talking about modifying. If I could simply disable my Nvidia GPU and boot to desktop then I'd be happy, I don't even care about audio or networking yet. Just need a starting point.
Laptop : MSI GP72 (Leopard Pro)
Partition on drive already setup, using UEFI
CPU i7-6700HQ Skylake
GPU Intel 530 + Nvidia 960M
