Is it really possible or rather advisable to have a hackintosh laptop?

I see a lot of hackintosh laptops posts here but Ive also been told a hackintosh is better suited on a desktop PC and its not really advisable on a laptop, for stability, performance and functionality issues and that it'll always be buggy and will need a lot of trial-error, troubleshooting, etc

I only need the MacOS to continue learning music production on logic pro and the only reason im considering hackintosh is because i cant afford a macbook(even the refurb ones). For all other purpose ill be using windows. So it'll be a dual boot scenario for me.

So, in my case should i go ahead with a hackintosh laptop (which i'll use for this year or so, until i can afford a macbook) or just go for a really low end, old model of a Mac which i can afford.
