SUCCESS!… Mostly.

So, I mostly got my system working. I’m quite impressed as it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be, however I’m having a few issues.

First, the NVIDIA Drivers wouldn’t install despite being the right version - so I used this tool to install them, and when I was back I saw the NVIDIA icon but the drivers weren’t actually working. I rebooted with them checked several times and it always reverted back. I forced them to be on via Clover Graphics injection options, and that has worked but…

  • The Apple symbol and progress bar during initial boot don’t show up when the drivers are enabled
  • I need to turn off my display and turn it back on to see the logic screen when the drivers are enabled. I have a similar issue with Windows (only when using the monitor with DisplayPort) although this same issue doesn’t happen when the driver is disabled.
  • How do I properly have the web driver enabled by default? I don’t want to have to go check it every time I start my computer…

Here's my other questions:

How can I get the scaling options Retina displays have? I’m on a 2560x1440 display and things are a little too small. I tried a Terminal command that I believe were supposed to enable them, and that didn’t work. I only get 1280x720 as a hiDPI option which is far too small.

The Caps Lock key on my Corsair K65 RGB isn’t lighting up under macOS and isn’t detected by the iCUE software.

How I can get a clean look on Clover with just “Boot to macOS” and “Boot to Windows” and hide all the other drives and extra recovery partitions on the main menu? I don’t want to lose access to them, I just don’t want them to get in the way of the main OSes.

So, honestly this OS is fantastic and I’m glad I get to use it again on good hardware (used to use an old 2010 base 21” iMac…) but these things do annoy me and I need to fix them to feel like I actually finished this.
