Hey All,
If I'm upgrading my CPU can I just have to modify my config.plist in the EFI with the new CPU info in the in devices section? Could I just do that, shut down, install the CPU and everything would work like it did before? Would my serial number and SMBIOS info still be good?
Currently running a vanilla install of Mojave 14.2 with an i3-8100 on Gigabyte H370N with an RX580. Everything works perfect and I'd rather not do a fresh install. Just got a good deal on an i5-8400 and hoping to make it as easy as possible.
