This is my first true hackintosh attempt.
So far I've been trying to follow this guide (and the guide inside it): https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/778uqv/asus_z370_coffee_lake_i38350k_hackintosh/
Their build is very similar to mine (different CPU & GPU but same family/generation), and somehow they were able to get a perfect just by following this guide exactly: https://hackintosher.com/builds/asus-z170-pro-skylake-hackintosh/
My build:
Mobo: ASUS Prime Z370-P
CPU: Intel Core i5-8600K (Coffee Lake)
GPU: Intel UHD 630 / Nvidia GTX 1070
RAM: 2 x 8GB G-Skill DDR4-3000
SSD: Crucial 250GB
The USB drives seem to complete successfully, but when I boot the installer from the Clover menu it brings up the Apple logo and shuts off all USB ports. This happens regardless of which port it is in, 2.0 or 3.1. I also used XHCI-unsupported.kext (from the USBInjectAll.kext page) since it says it is required by 300-series chipsets.
I have tried different builds of Clover and different drivers/kexts for the installer USB. I tried Unibeast once on High Sierra and it did boot with the Apple logo in higher resolution than Clover, but still shut off all USB. In the hackintosher guide it says to disable XHCI handoff in BIOS, yet I have no option (This didn't affect the Reddit poster though).
I have tried Sierra and High Sierra both with the same results. I've heard the install can take 5-20 minutes to load, but it seems like most other people at least get a progress bar before it hangs/freezes.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
