First Hackintosh - Can't get past apple logo

specs- Asus ROG z370 e Gaming i7-8700k Asus GTX 1060 6gb i have been following a guide with similar components to mine - https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/330677-successguide-glasgoods-high-sierra-coffeelake-asus-strix-z370-g-i7-8700-gtx1080ti-uhd/. everything was going fine until i booted into the install USB and only windows was showing up. I later found that this was a bug and could be fixed using this command (rm -f /Volumes/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra/.IAPhysicalMedia) this was from this thread (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/unibeast-8-2-bug-with-10-13-4-installer-not-shown-in-clover-missing-iabootfiles.248994/#post-1718315) as you can see this is meant for unibeast and im using clover with a peconfigured EFI folder once i did this i was given one other option to boot from mac os. once i do boot from this i am left on the black screen with a white apple logo with no progress whatsover. sorry im new to hackintosh so forgive me for leaving out any details and let e know if i need to add any more info
