High Sierra not seeing NVME to install to

Ok, so I've been at this for a while now and I don't feel like I'm making much progress, so I've finally decided to come here for some help. I've got my config.plist setup properly to boot without any issues, which was an accomplishment on its own. However, when I finally make it to the installer for HS and open Disk Utility (show all drives), my NVME is not listed.

So, after reading a few other threads of other users having the same issue, I followed the guide relating to using "diskutil list" command to show the system drives. However, diskutil only shows my 2tb HDD and about 20 small virtual disks about ~500kb-2mb in size. But my NVME is not listed at all. I'm assuming all of these small disks have something to do with the new APFS structure.

It is good to note that the NVME currently has Windows 10 installed in UEFI mode, so it has been initiated by the system before (I read that Apple does not see "uninitiated" drives by default).

System specs:

  • 6700k
  • MSI Z-170A SLI Plus
  • 16GB ram
  • Gigabyte GTX 980 Windforce OC 4GB
  • 256GB HyperX Predator NVME
  • 2TB WD Blue

I have also included the IONVME patches from PikerAlpha in my config.plist, which is what other users reported fixed their issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
