Hello, all.
I'm a college student, and I'm looking for a hackintosh-compatible laptop. As I'm a student, I would like something as cheap as possible, without sacrificing the quality or specs that I need. One other factor is portability, because I need to move easily between classes. I'm a reasonably capable person, so I won't mind some hoops when setting it up, or even booting up, but I would like it to work when I need it to. Also, I need MacOS because I want to do app development on this computer, and I like the UX better. That's why I'm not going the linux route.
Here are the specs that I need:
7th gen+ i5+ processor
8GB+ RAM
512GB+ Storage
Dedicated GPU (for light gaming, nothing crazy)
Features that I need (because some aren't available on all hackintoshes, from my understanding):
Xcode
Multi-screen support
MacOS High Sierra or Mojave
USB-C (at least one)
Features that would be nice, but unnecessary:
15" or less screen (17" laptops are generally pretty bulky)
iMessage
Support for operating systems after Mojave
Multiple USB-C
Thanks for any and all input! Please let me know if it would be simply better to go with a MacBook Pro. Again, my problem with that is price, but I can get the money if needed.
