Hello there, Hackintosh people. Here's a thing. I was experimenting with Mac OS on non-standard hardware for some time by now, but my particular setup might be kinda old, so there's not much information on how to make things work, especially with newer versions of the OS. The best I could achieve myself was a stable 10.11.6, although there was one serious issue about the machine not actually powering off after initiating the shutdown, it was just remaining in halt state, I assume. Also integrated GPU was not functional, but I didn't need it anyway, same for FireWire.
So, here's the config I have: CPU: Core 2 Duo E6550 (to be swapped to Q9400 or Q9550 if I manage to get better results about the OS) RAM: 4 GB DDR3 (will be maxed out for the mobo) MB: Gigabyte GA-EG41MFT-US2H GPU: GeForce GT8600 256 MB (will be swapped for something better, like GTX950 or Radeon R7/R9)
The goal is to have this thing running under 10.13 or even better 10.14, stable and with working audio, network, USB. Would also be great to have Intel SpeedStep working, and of course, proper shutdowns are a must. Right now it gets detected as a Mac mini, and after installing a couple kexts for audio and network, it gets into the state I've described above. Any help would be be appreciated.
