Hi, noob here.
Gigabyte Z390 UD i5-8400 2.8ghz Sapphire RX 580 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB 3000mhz Samsung 860 Evo 500gb
Was installing “vanilla” Mojave and it went to kp with this:
“BSD process name corresponding to current thread: launchd”
After some manual shut down, i remembered that I changed the SMBIOS to the closest hardware config, so I trashed that config.plist and started a new one with a “fresh” SMBIOS (almost all info is clear). Boot up again, disk utility, erased the partition, installed again Mojave, and booted again, it was a success.
Now the system works, but when I press “shut down”, it gives me the same kp: “BSD process name corresponding to current thread: launchd.” and I have to manually shut down the machine.
¿Can someone help me here? ¿Is something wrong in the boot section of my config.plist? I want to understand what is “launchd” and if I have to tweak something else after the install. Thanks.
