Quadro K1100M and Mojave on HP ZBook 15 G2

After seeing https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/apivow/success_mojave_on_the_dell_precision_m4800_with/ where the Nvidia's Quadro K1100M was up and working on Mojave, I got very curious in achieving the same as the Quadro is Kepler based which should have native support in macOS.

Specs of the laptop:

  • CPU: Intel i7-4800MQ
  • GPU: Intel HD 4600 / Nvidia Quadro K1100M
  • RAM: 16GB (2x8GB, 2 slots free)
  • Motherboard/Laptop model: HP ZBook 15 G2 (Haswell) with Intel QM87 chipset

I kinda abandoned the idea of Nvidia being enabled as I considered it an Optimus situation, which on laptops (as far as I know) is not achievable. But seems that in this laptops case, the IGPU and DGPU configuration as the DisplayPort outputs are attached to the Quadro card, so having no additional display outputs is quite bad.

The current state of the laptop is:

Reinstallation/downgrade to High Sierra if necessary etc. is not a problem, as I am up for experimenting with multiple solutions for this problem. Also a result where Intel HD is disabled and only Quadro is working, is fine for me.
