What components are necessary to run macOS on non-Apple hardware?

So I want to build a high-performance Hackintosh bc I'm interested in building PCs but I'm a huge fan of the Macintosh Operating System. So I'm wondering, what parts are necessary to run macOS smoothly and what parts can I change?
